The location of both our Plymouth offices has been carefully chosen to offer our sellers unrivalled coverage for the marketing of their home. The Mutley Plain branch is positioned in the middle of the busy 'estate agent row' on Mutley Plain and the Crownhill Office is positioned on a prominent corner at Mutley_imgthe entrance to the busy shopping district. Plymouth Homes Team

When we first started trading, over eleven years ago, we took empty premises on Mutley Plain and had to put photographs of our family's and friends' homes in the window because we had nothing to sell! Our only member of staff was Susan's daughter, Kate, who offered to help us for our first three months. Since then our team has steadily grown to include some of Plymouths most experienced and respected estate agents. We have chosen each individual especially to complement and enhance our ethos and levels of customer care.

The Company Directors

Susan Tamblyn – Director

Born in Torpoint, Susan has spent all of her life living and working in the South West. Susan was educated at Torpoint and Callington schools.

In 1985 Susan joined Fox & Sons as a weekend assistant and continued on a part time basis after the company was taken over by General Accident. Her career progressed on a full time basis with Constables where she was promoted to a Senior Negotiator and consistently performed as one of the top negotiators in the South West.
 
In 1996 Susan joined Halifax Property Services as the Manager of the Ivybridge Branch, which soon became the towns market leader and one of the top Halifax branches in the South West.
 
Susan lives in Manadon Parkwith her husband Jonathan and has two children called Kate and Luke. Kate is a director for a recruitment consultancy in London and Luke is a consultant arboriculturist. Susan is also a Grandma to Kate’s children, Edward and Pippa.
 

Ian Mitchell – Director

Born in Kent, Ian moved to Plymouth in 1983 with his family, and was educated at Eggbuckland Community College. Following A levels he studied at Wolverhampton University and gained a Business Economics Degree.
 
Upon leaving University, in 1993, Ian was recruited to Halifax Property Services as a Management Trainee. After his initial training, he was appointed as the Branch Manager of the Reigate office in Surrey. During this period Ian continued to study and gained the Certificate of Residential Estate Agency from the College of Estate Management at Reading University.
 
Promotion moved him to Burgess Hill, West Sussex as a Senior Manager and in April 1998, Ian moved back to Plymouth to run the Plympton Branch. Having run three of the Halifax’s most successful offices Ian was admitted as a Fellow to the National Association of Estate Agents. Further studies in 2007 saw Ian achieve the Diploma in Domestic Energy Assessment.
 
Ian lives in Manadon Park with his wife Joanne and they have two daughters, Annabel and Eleanor. He is a Governor at Manadon Vale Primary School and a committee member of the Plymouth Area of Property Professionals Association.
 
The Team

Clive Shawcross has eleven years experience and superb knowledge across all areas of estate agency, specialising in the valuation and initial marketing of properties. His enthusiastic and professional manner combined with his extensive local knowledge are invaluable to both his clients and colleagues. Clive studied along with Ian in 2007 to become qualified as a Domestic Energy Assessor.


Stuart Huyton boasts a varied and successful estate agency career working in and around Plymouth for the past 17 years. His vast knowledge across all areas of the profession is invaluable to Plymouth Homes and his upbeat personality and sense of humour endear him to his colleagues and clients. Stuart specialises in the ongoing marketing of properties and ensuring clients are fully informed. 


Rob Clarke has worked in the property sector for twelve years and is extremely experienced in all aspects of estate agency. He enjoys the varied nature of his role, with his key responsibilities including helping clients co-ordinate their move, valuing and the initial marketing of property and assisting purchasers find exactly the right property to buy.

 

Steven Albon has over twenty years estate agency experience and is very knowledgeable in all aspects of moving home. He is primarily based in the Mutley Plain office and specialises co-ordinating property sales after a buyer has been found. Steven's enviable knowledge and ability to problem solve make him a valuable asset to the Plymouth Homes team.

 

Claire Berrell joined Ian and Susan with a strong administration background. Claire has one of the most varied roles within the company; keeping prospective purchasers advised of new properties being placed onto the market, showing clients around properties and assisting with the administrative tasks.



Louise Cambridge joined Ian and Susan in January 2007 and has enjoyed working in both the Crownhill and Mutley plain offices. Accompanying prospective buyers to properties and maintaining mailing lists, Louise’s ability to match buyers with properties is superb and is recognised as being one of the best in Plymouth.


 

Laura Coulton has a varied role within Plymouth Homes, working in both the sale and administration parts of the business. When not helping clients find their ideal home Laura’s responsibilities include collating our newspaper advertisements.

 


Lisa Shawcross worked for a highly respected firm of Solicitors before joining Plymouth Homes in 2011. Lisa is responsible for the administration tasks within the office, including updating all our websites and ensuring sales particulars are attractively presented.

 

 
Michelle Le Marquand looks forward to every Saturday because she loves showing clients around property! Her enthusiasm is contagious making the process of viewing a property an enjoyable experience. Michelle also works during the week to assist on particularly busy occasions.

 


Lynne Neill particularly enjoys showing prospective buyers around properties and ensuring the sellers are always upto date with their feedback. Her sincere and caring nature help her find buyers exactly the right home available for sale with Plymouth Homes.
